Abate Irwin, Inc. is completely dedicated and committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace for our employees and our subcontractors. As such, safety and loss prevention are an integral and extremely important aspect of each Abate Irwin, Inc. project. The elimination of hazards and the prevention of incidents to all employees working on the project and the general public will be of primary concern in the planning and execution of all work activities on each A-I project.
Abate Irwin, Inc.’s policy is to establish throughout the organization the concept that people, as well as property, are valuable resources and that all efforts must be exercised to protect them. Therefore, A-I has established a philosophy of “Zero Incidents” for all our operations.
To comply with this philosophy and to achieve the desired goal of “Zero Incidents” on all A-I operations, the following must be strictly adhered to:
- All work operations must be thoroughly planned from the bidding stage through project execution so that these operations are performed safely as well as efficiently.
- Effectively communicate the safety requirements of the project and the safety requirements of each operation to all employees on all levels of each project.
- Ensure that each employee is adequately trained and qualified to perform the task or work activity prior to beginning the work.
- Coordinate work operations and activities to minimize or eliminate situations that jeopardize employees’ safety due to conflicting or simultaneous work operations or activities.
Safety is the responsibility of each and every employee on the jobsite. Each employee shall become familiar with and follow all rules and regulations for both his own health and safety and that of his fellow workers.
Supervisory personnel at all levels are held accountable for the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with this policy and all applicable safety and health rules and regulations, those of the company, its clients, and of all governmental agencies.
